Love Never Fails Page 8

After dropping Kelly home, Monica stops at the gas station to fill up. Her dad pulls up in their driveway right as she pulls up.

“Hi daddy.” She gives her daddy a peck on his cheek.

“Hi sweetheart. How was your day?”

“Learning and more learning. You know same story, just a different day. How was work?”

“Oh you know. Bossing people here and there.” John jokingly winks at his daughter.

Monica giggles. She doesn’t believe her daddy bosses people around. He is just so nice to people. That’s probably the reason why the same people have worked for him for many years. He treats them well and makes sure his employees are taken care of.

“How are you and Clint doing?”

  “We’re ok daddy.”

“Oh sweetheart. I wish you would just concentrate on your school work and leave these immature boys alone.”

Monica ignores her dad and goes inside the house. Her mother Lauren just finished cooking dinner, and tells them dinner is served. The food smells so good. Lauren can cook the best tasting southern food in town. Lauren would come up with new recipes and after tasting them, her friends would steal her secret recipe.

“How was your day dear?” Lauren greets her daughter with a kiss on her cheek.

“It was ok mom.” Even though Monica is eighteen years old, she still loves receiving affection from her parents.

“What about you dear?” She faces John.

John leans forwards kissing her on her lips. “Same shit different day.”

Lauren opens her mouth wishing John wouldn’t use profanity words in front of Monica. She feels Monica will eventually start cursing if he continues to do it in front of her. Her parents don’t know half the stuff Monica does. They think she’s an angel sent from above, and she wants it to stay that way. Monica just giggles, because she thinks her dad is funny when he talks. He’s the sweetest teddy bear, but he doesn’t have a filter. He says what he feels when he pleases. Monica goes to her room to start on her homework, and there are three missed calls from a number she isn’t familiar with. She calls back.

  “Hey.”

  “Who’s this?”

  “Jake.”

“What the hell? How did you get my number?”

“I have my ways. What are you doing?”

“I’m trying to figure out how you got my number? Who gave it to you?”

“I told you have I my ways.”

“Oh so you tricked some stupid girl into giving you my number? Let me guess. It’s one of the cheerleaders?”

  “How did you know?”

“Just figured you did. You probably used your good looks to do it right?” Dammit Monica thought. She wishes she can take that back.

“So you think I’m good looking?”

  “I didn’t say that.”

“Yeah you did. You said I probably used my good looks. So you think I’m good looking?

Monica changes the subject, “What do you want? Why are you calling me?”

“I wanted to talk to you.”

  “About what?”

“About anything. I want to get to know you.”

“Why? You have all those girls in school who wants you to talk to them. So go talk to them.”

  “Are we jealous?”

“I have no reason to be jealous. I have a boyfriend.”

“Ah. Yes the boyfriend. That won’t last long.”

  “Whatever.”

“I promise you. You will be mine. And I always get what I want.”

Clenching her teeth together, frustrated. “Look here you conceited son of bitch. I am not like all those girls that go after you. I’m not going to let you talk to me like that.”

Monica hangs up then screams at her phone. Why does he keep bothering her? Yes he’s good looking, but he doesn’t have to be such an asshole about it. Her phone beeps, and she looks at the number before answering.

“Hey biotch what are you doing?”

  “Just got off the phone.”

  “With Clint?”

  “Nope. Jake.”

“Oh. Somebody being a naughty girl. Good for you though. It’s time for a change. You’ve been with Clint way too long. And he’s not good for you.”

“So you think Jake is good for me? He’s a player and an asshole.”

“Yeah I heard he was dating three girls at the same time, and the girls all knew but they didn’t mind.”

  “They’re dumb.”

  “What did he say?”

  “Just some stupid stuff.”

“I see how he looks at you all the time.”

“Yeah if he doesn’t stop, Clint’s going to kick his ass.”

“Girl do you really think Clint can kick Jake’s ass. Jake is huge. There’s no way in hell Clint will win.”

“So what if he’s huge. Clint can still kick his ass.”

“Yeah well we’ll see this weekend.”

  “This weekend?

“Yeah Josh invited Jake to his party this Saturday.”

“What? He’s going to start shit with Clint.”

“Well if Clint can kick his ass, then he has nothing to worry about right?” Kelly is always a smart-ass.

  “Kelly you’re a bitch.”

“Yup. That’s why you love me. Love you biotch. Got to go. Josh is on the other line.”

Friday afternoon, after cheerleading practice, Kelly and Monica heads to the Houston Galleria to buy outfits for tomorrow. Josh’s parents leave town on a regular basis so Josh throws parties once a month. Nobody knows how in the world his parents haven’t found out about these parties. They have to know and not care. How can parents be so oblivious of what their kids do on a monthly basis? Do they never see any of the accidentally left beer cans, or swimsuits or panties left by girls because they were too drunk to find them, or the furniture not back in its correct spot? Even though Monica has dated Clint since ninth grade, she has never brought him to her house to have sex. She is too afraid of what her parents will say. Clint and Monica go to his house for that. Since Jake will be there, Monica wants to look extra hot. She knows she has a boyfriend, but it doesn’t hurt to look at another guy. Will it hurt, she thought? Oh well. The girls try different outfits and Monica finally picks a red two piece bikini, white and red striped tube top shirt, cut off shorts, and gladiator ankle flip flops. Oh yes. Her outfit will surely turn heads.

On the way back to Baytown, Jake calls her asking is her and Kelly could meet him and Josh at a local burger joint. Why not. Plus she’s famished. Kelly and Monica arrive at Richies and the guys are nowhere to be found. Her eyes are playing tricks on her. Is that what she’s seeing? Not knowing Monica was going to show up; Clint had his arms around another girl. This cheating ass bastard. Just as Monica decides to confront him, Jake shows, witnessing Clint act like an ass clown.

Hovering over him with her fisted hands on her waist. She wants to knock this boy out. “What the fuck are you doing Clint?”

“Just hanging out.” Clint nonchalantly responds with his arm still around the other girl. He doesn’t think he’s doing anything wrong.

“With some bitch in your arm?”

“She ain’t nothing to me baby.” The other girl narrows her eyes at him then grins at Monica.

Kelly stands behind Monica ready to punch Clint. If anybody’s going to punch Clint, it will be Monica. “Don’t baby me, you fucking asshole. We’re done.”

Clint looks around as everybody is watching the commotion. He’s embarrassed and with a bruised ego he snaps at Monica. “Whatever I don’t need you.”

Clint leaves with the girl in his arms. Monica is so humiliated. Suggesting Kelly rides home with Josh, Monica leaves Richies with an empty stomach and a broken heart. As she’s driving home, she notices someone is following her in the rearview mirror. Even though she’s so frustrated right now, she gets butterflies in her stomach. It’s Jake. She pulls over to the side and he pulls up behind her. After he gets out of his ca
r, he scurries towards her.

Not understanding why Jake is following her, he grabs her by her neck and kisses her. She doesn’t fight him. Cars pass by while they exchange their desire. They giggle together. He invites her to go to the movies with him, and she figures what the hell. Why not? She follows him to the theater in her car.

At the movies, Jake wraps his arm around Monica and he inhales her incredible scent. She leans onto his brawny arms and rest her head. Knowing this might be wrong because she just broke up with her boyfriend, but she didn’t care. This moment felt right. After the movies, he hears her stomach growling, so he decides to take pick something up to eat before they go to his house.

Looking at his house, you can tell his parents are rich. She looks at all the pictures on the wall, and they look like one happy family. His parents are nowhere to be found. They relax on the couch in his room. Flipping through the channels, he stops on a music channel. Sitting there increased the chemistry, and he dives in for another kiss. She embraces his kiss. The heat between them is rising. He slowly positions her on her back, and lies on top of her, still intertwining tongues.

Before it can lead to something else, Jake stops kissing her and stares deeply admiring her.

  Monica confused, “Is everything ok?”

“Yeah. I just had to stop.”

“Why?” Monica leans in to kiss him some more. She wants him to go further.

“You just broke up with Clint. I don’t want to be the rebound guy.”

“Excuse me. You know at some point, everyone that’s ever dated and broke up with someone, they’ve been a rebound right? And you should have thought about that before you kissed me on the damn road and kissed me here.”

Monica gets up, and leaves not wanting to hear Jake’s explanation. While driving to Kelly’s, tears of frustration run down her face. How could she be so dumb she thought? She should have known better. Everyone’s already warned her of how Jake is, so why didn’t she listen.

When she gets to Kelly’s, he barges in without knocking on her bedroom door. Kelly hangs up with Josh as she sees her best friend’s face expression. She can tell something is wrong.

“What happened?” Kelly motions Monica to come sit by her.

Plopping her butt on Kelly’s bed, she explains, “We were making out, and he stopped.”

  “What? Why?”

  “I don’t know?”

“Did you not wash your cookie today?”

Monica laughs, “Shut up bitch. There isn’t anything wrong with my cookie thank you very much.”

“There has to be a reason, because I heard he fucks everybody.”

  “Oh thanks for that info.”

“Well I’m just letting you know, he doesn’t turn down pussy. Every fine looking girl in town gave their cookie to him. So I’m confused just as much as you are. You’re the most fucking gorgeous girl in school. And guys would have died and gone to heaven if you give them the time and day. And a normal guy would ponce on that cookie. And he’s been trying to make you and Clint break up. So now that you’re single, he isn’t interested anymore. What’s up with that?”

Monica doesn’t want to talk about it any longer, and without Monica saying anything, Kelly can tell what Monica is thinking, so she changes the subject. Kelly can’t wait for the party tomorrow, and knowing Jake will be there tomorrow, Monica gets even more irritated. She decides to take a quick shower. She isn’t going to let Jake play her like a fool. She has a plan for tomorrow. After bathing, she brushes her teeth and slips into laced boxer shorts and sheer cami shirt. Since she always spends a night at Kelly’s, she has plenty of clothes tucked in her dresser.

The girls put a scary movie on, and they climb into bed together. Monica thinks spending a night at Kelly’s for the weekend is the best idea; just in case she gets drunk at Josh’s party, her parents will never know. The next morning Kelly wakes Monica up, rushing her to get ready so they can go to Josh’s to help him prepare for the party.

People start arriving and the teens congregate around the kegs of beer. Since Monica and Kelly arrived earlier than everybody else, they’re already tipsy. Jake arrives looking around as if he’s looking for somebody. His teammates greet him, and they do their manly hand shack.

Jake pulls Josh to the side, “Hey bro have you seen Monica?”

  “Yeah she’s in the pool.”

Jake walks towards the pool and spots her talking to Greg, a guy in their Physics class. Jake begs to speak to her for a second, but Monica ignores him and continues to talk to Greg. Seeing that Jake won’t leave so she can talk to Greg, she swims to the other side of the pool, and gets out. Jake is blown away at how gorgeous she looks in her red bikini. It emphasizes her tone fit body. With the sun gleaming, the water on her body glistens like diamonds. Jake isn’t the only one that notices her. Practically every guy there stares at how fine she looks. Clint, who is there with his new girlfriend, also notices her. Jake catches up to Monica, and demands her to give him a hug. She doesn’t listen and jumps back in the pool. He had his chance to be with her, and he screwed it up. Not giving up, he gets in the pool with her. He pins her against the wall, making sure she can’t get out.

He looks so sexy when he’s frustrated. “What’s wrong with you? Why are you trying to ignore me?”

Monica plays the same game he played yesterday. “There’s nothing wrong with me.”

“Well you are acting like there’s something wrong.”

“What do you want Jake? We’re at a party. Go talk to the other girls.” Monica tries to escape, but can’t.

“I don’t want to talk to the other girls. I want to talk to you.”

  “Well talk.”

“Monica please stop with this shit.” He leans in to kiss her, but she turns her face.

Somehow, she gets out from under him and gets out of the pool. Still not leaving her alone, he offers to get her something to drink. She yanks her arm from his hand and walks away. Seeing her sway her hips side to side causes him to have a semi. She is so sexy. As he’s watching her, she chugs a glass of beer. Every time he tries to approach her, she intentionally walks away from him, trying to avoid him. He knows what she’s doing, and he knows he deserves it, but his fury escalates when he sees her deliberately talking to other guys. The guys are enjoying the attention she’s giving them, even if they’re being used to get Jake jealous. His frustration mixed with alcohol starts to build up. Seeing her dancing dirty with another guy drives him crazier. He pulls Monica away, and when the guy tries to confront him, Jake punches him to the ground.

Pissed off, “Jake what’s wrong with you?” Monica helps the guy.

Everybody starts to crowd them, so Monica leaves the commotion. Jake runs for her, wrapping his arms around her waist. Turning her around, she’s stuck between him and the wall.

“What has gotten into you? Why are you acting so fucking crazy?

“You’re driving me crazy Monica. Why would you do that? Why would you intentionally try to make me jealous?”

“Have you lost your damn mind? You had your chance to be with me, but you’ve made your choice.”

“How did I make my choice? Please tell me!”

  “Last night!”

“Last night? I wanted you! Like really bad. But I didn’t want it to be like that.”

“Like what Jake?” Monica doesn’t know whether to slap him or kiss him.

Without thinking, Jake grabs the back of her head, and kisses her passionately. This needs to be taken care of Jake thought. He holds onto her hand leading her to his car. He needs her. Now. His parents aren’t home again, and they hurry to his bedroom. Their sexual desire for each other has built up too long, and they have to indulge their needs. He grabs a condom from his nightstand drawer, and he undresses her marveling every inch of her enticing body. He explores her body with his lips leaving kisses on all her beauty marks memorizing every single one. He kisses delicately on her clit, making her come. He slips the condom on, and bites his bot
tom lip, looking down at her.

  “Can I?”

“Yes. Please. I want you to.” She digs her fingers on his back, pulling him down on her.

He instills himself inside her carefully. He’s so well endowed; she hurts, but she feels too good to stop him. She inhales his kisses, loving his sweet taste. He glides himself slowly soothing her every need. No guy has ever taken their time to make love to her, and this new experience is so over whelming, she peaks again. He massages her tongue with his, and he climaxes with her. After having sex, Jake usually tells the girl to get dress, and leave, but he wants Monica to spend a night. He doesn’t want her to leave his side. They sleep in his bed with him spooning her, holding her, making sure she’s secure in his arms.

Morning hits, and they wake up from his cellphone constantly ringing. Unwrapping himself from her, he presses a button on his phone. While she uses his bathroom, she calls Kelly letting her friend know she’s alright.

“Oh my friend got her some last night. Was it good?”

  “Shut up!” Monica titters.

  “That means yes.”

  “What are you guys doing?”

“We’re fixing to go eat breakfast. Do you two want to come with?”

As the four of them enjoy their breakfast, Monica’s floozy promiscuous cousin Reese walks up to them. She likes getting all the guys attention, and she’ll do anything to get it. Monica’s relationship with her cousin is like a roller coaster, up and down. One minute they are close, then distant the next. Reese interrupts their breakfast, and introduces herself to Jake.

“Hello there. My name is Reese. What’s your name?” Reese slyly puts her hand on Jake’s arm.

Any human being would have enough common sense to know if there are two guys with two girls and they are there with each other, most likely they are couples. But that didn’t stop Reese from flirting with Jake. She practically threw herself on him.
